Before we do that though, why don't we just take a couple of minutes check this out and make sure it's going to be right for you. With this hitch, having the smaller inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening, this is something I usually recommend if you already have an accessory that'll work with this size hitch, or if you really only plan on using smaller bike racks, things of that nature. If you want a little bit more, if you plan on doing some towing or using larger bike racks or cargo carriers, I usually recommend the larger two inch by two inch hitch. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it is a hidden cross tube which means that all of the hitch is pretty well hidden behind the rear fascia except for the actual receiver tube opening, so that's gonna make it really nice. You get a clean look, but all the function of your hitch. Now being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening means that you're gonna have a ton of different accessories to choose from, whether it be ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers. This is kind of the standard size that you'll see a lot of them come in and all of them are gonna stay in place with a 5/8" pin and clip which is not included with the hitch. A lot of your accessories will come with one but it's gonna be required to keep that in place. more

Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it is a hidden cross tube meaning that the only portion that you're gonna see outside of the vehicle is gonna be the inch and quarter inch receiver tube opening. And with this size you are gonna be a little bit limited as far as bike racks or cargo carriers that you'll be able to get. There are other hitches available for this that are gonna be two inch. That'll also give you a little higher capacity, but if the accessories you have are gonna be inch and quarter it's gonna work great on here. Now, those accessories are gonna stay in place with a half inch pin and clip and this is not included with the hitch. more

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Mazda CX-30 and we're gonna be taking a look at and doing an installation on the CURT Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is gonna be a 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inch receiver tube that is going to mount to the rear of your vehicle to allow you to carry different accessories such as bike racks, smaller cargo carriers or maybe even tow a trailer with a ball mount. Speaking of towing a trailer it's going to have nice large safety chain loops to accept various different types of safety chains and it's going to feature a 1/2 inch hitch pin hole to accept a 1/2 inch hitch pin. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Mazda CX-9- Video

Narrator Today on our 2015 Mazda CX-9, we'll be installing the CURT trailer hitch receiver, Class 2 with an 1-1/4" opening, part #C12112. Now as you see here, this is what our hitch looks like on our Mazda CX-9. Things are very tucked nicely, up underneath the bumper cover, and attached up to the frame. The nice thing about this hitch: extremely, extremely easy to install. All you have to do: lift your hitch up and install the hardware into the frame, into the built-in well nuts, tighten and torque, and you're ready to hit the road. I see there's a nice black powder coat finish; that's gonna resist rush and corrosion. more

Today in our 2010 Mazda CX Nine, we're gonna do a review and install of the Curt class two, one and a quarter inch receiver two pitch, part number C12112. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see it's a fully welded construction with a nice black finish. So it blends in with the underbody of our vehicle. Here, we have a rectangular cross tube and a receiver tube, keeping a good percentage of our hitch hidden behind the rear face ship. This is a one and a quarter inch by one and a quarter inch receiver tube, half inch pre-drilled hole on both sides of the receiver tube for our pin or lock and chain hold downs for securing our trailer. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Mazda CX-5- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the curt trailer hitch receiver here on our 2021 Mazda CX-5. And as you can see here, pretty much everything is gonna be hidden behind the bumper there. Therefore the only thing we can see is the receiver tube opening which gives it a very factory-like appearance. Now in regards to the coating on the trailer hitch, it has a shiny black powder-coated finish. This does a couple of different things. Number one, it helps blend in with the vehicle's under body paneling and it also helps protect the hitch from rust and corrosion being that it is on the underside of the vehicle subjected to the elements. more

etrailer Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Mazda CX-5- Video

Hi there Mazda owners. Today, on your 2017 Mazda CX-5, we're gonna be having a look at, and showing you, how to install etrailer's Class 3, 2-Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. The cross tube is hidden completely behind the bumper, but you don't need to remove the fascia to install it, so that's nice. You're only gonna see the receiver here at the back, and it does stick out a little bit, it is, kind of, noticeable because of how far it sticks back, but I don't think it detracts from the looks of the vehicle too much. This hitch uses a five eighths inch hitch pinning clip. Now, one doesn't come included with the hitch, but we've got plenty available, here at etrailer. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over it and show you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver here on our 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata. So here's what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed. So you can see here, we have a nice collar around the receiver tube opening as well as a black powder coated finish which is going to do a great job of help protecting our hitch from rust and corrosion. Now our trailer hitch here also have what is known as a hidden design. Now with this hidden design, our crosstube isn't going to be visible, it's going to be hidden behind our bumper here. The only thing we're going to be able to see is the actual receiver tube opening. more

As we can see, it has an almost completely hidden installation. And what I mean by this, the main cross tube here, which supports the receiver tube, is going to be hidden entirely behind the bumper. So the only thing we're going to be able to see here is the receiver tube opening, which is just going to give us a very seamless factory-like finish install look.So our Curt trailer hitch here has a class one rating with a one and a quarter inch receiver tube opening. Now this is going to allow us to do several different things. more
